Enquiries for male laser hair removal are soaring at Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group’s Scottish clinics, as more and more men turn to ‘brozillians’ to sort out their ‘boykini’ line.
A 34 per cent rise in male laser hair removal was recorded at the clinics during the first quarter of 2011, compared to the same time during 2010, with increasing numbers of males looking to de-fuzz downstairs ahead of their summer vacations.
During a typical course of ‘brozillian’ or ‘boykini’ line treatments, clients will need to return to the clinic for up-keep sessions every month or so.
Speaking about the sudden rise, Transform spokesperson Shami Thomas suggested there could be many reasons for the growing trend. She said: “Laser hair removal is a long-lasting solution to removing hair for both men and women and has been popular with women for many years. Regular shaving, painful plucking and expensive waxing can be a pain in the you-know-what and it’s fantastic to see more Scots men coming in seeking a permanent solution.
“We have seen a real surge in this type of enquiry this year and we expect a high proportion of these to lead to bookings. Whether this is due to 2011 male swimwear trends showing more leg or just that Scots men are becoming more body conscious, this is a service that we offer at our Scottish clinics and we’re delighted that it is becoming more popular.”
