Belk, Inc. Donates $200,000 to American Red Cross for Tornado and...

Belk, Inc. has announced a $200,000 commitment to the American Red Cross to aid the victims of recent storms that have swept through the southern United States. The contribution to the American Red Cross Spring Storms Fund includes a $100,000 grant to support efforts in Alabama, $50,000 to support efforts in North Carolina and an additional $50,000 grant to help with immediate and long-term recovery efforts throughout the company’s footprint.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those who have suffered through these devastating storms. Our primary concern is to take care of our family of associates, customers and neighbors,” said Tim Belk, chairman and CEO of Belk, Inc. “The American Red Cross is at the forefront of disaster relief efforts, providing much needed resources and support to those whose lives have been impacted by these storms.”

In addition, Belk, Inc. will help address the immediate needs of its associates impacted by the storms.
