The Lexington Plaza Waterfront Hotel is now the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel to reflect the new direction the ownership team is taking the hotel. They recently announced plans for off-campus student living in the upper floors of the seven story hotel, which were originally built as luxury condominiums. The hotel is now completely locally managed and again an integral piece of the Stockton community; the addition of accommodations for college students furthers this mission.
“While our name has changed we’re still the same great hotel with all the amenities our guests have come to expect from a premier luxury hotel,” reports General Manager Christopher Gamble, CHA, “All the existing reservations and plans of our guests are honored with the new hotel. Reservations are available by contacting the hotel directly at 209-944-1140.”
As a member of the Downtown Stockton Alliance, the University Plaza Waterfront Hotel has been key in the revitalization efforts; it is the most expensive private investment downtown in nearly 20 years. The 3-star hotel sits along the waterfront in the heart of Stockton’s newly revitalized entertainment district, just 80 miles northeast of San Francisco and 45 miles south of Sacramento.
